Drawing Technology Inc.
In-line wire drawers
and payoff equipment for wire processing. Wire resizing for the fastener
and heading industries. Rod breakdown machinery for processing of cold
drawn steel from hot rolled rod. Mini wire mill recoiling and wire
spooling for the heading and concrete pipe wire cage producing
industries. Payoff equipment including Power driven uncoilers, Flippers,
Power driven turntables, etc. Mechanical breaker roll type descalers for
hot tolled rod up to .750 diameter. Tooling and spare parts for all in
line wire drawing, wire straighten and cut, and payoff machines.
About DTI:
In November of 1999,
we formed a partnership and incorporated Drawing Technology. Paramount to the
success of DTI, has been the ability establish ourselves as the premiere
vendor in the wire drawing industry. We are staffed with people that have
well over 100 years of combined experience in the sales, design,
installation and service of this equipment. We feel, in many cases, we
know more about the equipment that the competition is offering than they
do. Our engineering staff has been involved with the design of virtually
every piece of inline drawing equipment that is offered in the industry
today.
While continuing to
work in the traditional wire and fastener industries, we have established
ourselves in two completely new markets by designing such equipment as
CNC servo press feeds for the press and stamping industry and high speed
wire recoilers and level wind wire spoolers for the concrete pipe
industry.
We have formed
working relationships with production and special equipment manufacturers
such as National Machinery, Nedschroef Herentals, The Hawkeye Group,
Videx, Faster Equipment Corp, Zublin, Barbarotto Machinery Group, Micro
Welders, Peddershaab and others allowing us to work together to ship
complete turnkey systems to our customers. These relationships have
established us as a leader in the industry in interfacing with custom
machine builders working in all phases of design and installations.

Designs:
Since day one, our
designs have raised the bar in the industry by focusing on every aspect
of the machines and making sure that our equipment was designed using the
latest in technology. Our approach to this part of the project was to
take a "proactive" rather than a "reactive" roll in
addressing the customer’s needs. These designs include a complete
new approach to such things as safety and operator controls. We
introduced lift off draw boxes, self-storing grippers, two hand two speed
jog systems and PLC controls. These, along with other improvements,
allowed us to include a three-year warranty as standard on our wire
drawing equipment.
