Model
100: 54” diameter capstan
The flagship of our in line wire drawing
line. The first DTI Model 100 was put into service in August of 2000.
This machine has a 200 Horsepower, 200 foot per minute capacity and runs
3 shifts a day, 6 days a week. Equipped with a 54" diameter through
hardened D2 Tool Steel capstan, (Not ductile iron) this machine is built
for the long haul.

Space Miser: 20” diameter capstan
Designed for applications that do not have
the necessary space for a wire drawer and payoff
- Integral overhead payoff system allows
the operator to load coils without lifting them overhead

.312 diameter

Compare closely, many of our standard items
are only offered as additional cost items on our competitors machines!!
(If available at all) Another subtle but possibly important difference is
our capstan diameters. We make our capstans at true working diameter. If
you buy a 20" machine, the working diameter is 20", not
19.09" (5' circumference our competitor uses) This is true of most
of the larger capstans as well. This can make a huge difference when
running at the upper limits of a machine or in high alloy material.
